These are some cute items I picked up not long ago that are unused WHO noses from the film THE GRINCH with makeup design by Rick Baker. There were a number of generic noses done of various styles and used daily on the different WHO characters so that not everyone looked alike. And these are two of those items that came to me unused and in excellent condition. They are done in foam latex and are really nicely constructed. But you know looking at these items I am amazed that they are not anything more special than what any of us makeup people could do insofar as the sculpting and the texturing of them is concerned. They're neat pieces - don't get me wrong and I'm glad to have them. But we makeup artists could create these easily and do just as good a job. Although I'm sure these were generic pieces used by the background characters and most effective for that use. As well, I'm sure the main characters makeup prosthetics were much more well done. But these are fun and while they're Rick Baker designed pieces (supposedly) they're a good addition and collectible. Chances are Rick neither designed these nor did the sculpting. He has an army of makeup artists who do the physical work I suppose and he just calls the shots and tells them what he wants - and THEY go create it. But they're cool anyway.
