Place a baldcap on your model. If your model has long hair put it in a ponytail and cutting a hole in the cap, bring it out the back. (If you use this technique! ed.) Wrap the ponytail in plastic wrap (or whatever) and tape the plastic around the hole in the cap. Trace the hairline with a marker and apply petroleum jelly to the cap everywhere except over the marker. This line will transfer to the alginate and then to the lifecast.
